Three cities to start from
Each is framed to show the city’s shape, the way it reads across a room. Open one and change the style, or search for your own.
A city with something of yours on it
A city poster can show the streets alone, or add your own places, or the route of a day you spent there.

Your places on it
Start a set of places instead, and the city is drawn around them, each kind in its own colour with a legend.

Your walk across it

Making a travel map
One city, every format
The same Map exports to each of these, laid out again for each shape, so the city is never cropped to fit.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Making the poster and downloading it are free, with no account. Free files carry a small Made with Maptelier mark, and the print sheets are 2,048 pixels on the long side. Unlocking the Map for US$12, once, removes the mark and gives the print sheets at 300 dpi.
How do I make a poster of my city?
In the editor, choose New Map, then A city, and search for it. The poster opens framed on the city in every format. Move the frame in Edit, change the title, or try another style.
Which styles suit a city poster?
City proof and Plat book draw every street when the frame is close enough. Most other styles draw only the main roads, which suits a wider view.
Can I add places to it?
Yes. Start a set of places instead, by search or from a spreadsheet, and the city is drawn around them, as the Kyoto example shows.
Can I print it?
Yes, at any print shop. The Poster A3 sheet is 297 × 420 mm and the Poster 70 × 50 is 700 × 500 mm, both at 300 dpi on an unlocked Map.
Can I make a video of it?
Yes. A city poster plays as a slow drift across the streets, as a Video or a Reel. 1080p at 30 fps is free.
